12-31-2025: John cooking. He's making the special New Year's chicken teriyaki.

12-30-2025: Post-Mitsuwa run! After getting in the big shop for the Oshogatsu/Osechi feast, Leo and John went to BookOff, and then to Nishiki Ramen for lunch.

12-27-2025: Post-Christmas. Here's a short video showing the creek near Devils Gate Dam in Pasadena, our usual morning walk crosses this creek but it was seriously flooded after the rains! You can see where the continues on the other side. Then, here we are on the drive home, at the rest area overlooking the Pacific Ocean and a gorgeous Souther California sunset!

12-24-2025: Christmas Eve. Leo came over (Roy is still in Japan with Danielle), and we watched Die Hard for the first time. It rained pretty steadily for most of the day, but by early evening the rains had cleared and there was a double rainbow in the sky!

12-20-2025: Roy and Danielle in Japan! Here are a few photos they shared so far from their month-long trip to Japan. The first photo is in Tokyo, then the snow pics are in Monbetsu!

12-17-2025: Ondine recovering from knee replacement surgery. Here she is with her legs straight and elevated, and Shadow.

11-29-2025: Thanksgiving! We traditionally gather on Saturday because Ondine's brother Jeff works Thanksgiving day. Here we are, and an overflowing plate for you!

11-01-2025: Birthday lunch with Jeff! For his birthday, Jeff picked the China Super Buffet in La Mesa Springs Shopping Center. Here we are: that's John in the front, then going around clockwise: Leo, Ondine, Jeff, and Roy. Then, a shot of Ondine and her brother.

10-25-2025: Lunch with Elaine and John's Mom. We went to L.A. to visit and had lunch at Kabuki.

08-31-2025: Taking Shadow to Mission Beach! Here's how Ondine walks the dog on the beach vs how John walks the dog on the beach.

08-30-2025: A walk at Mission Beach. This is when we discovered that dogs are actually allowed on the beach until 9 am.

08-17-2025: Grammy's Birthday celebration at Kabuki! That's Danielle, Roy, and Leo with Grammy in the first photo. Then, immediate family and extended family photos. Some cousins joined us from Arizona!

08-16-2025: Uncle Leon and Aunty Maria's Celebration of Life at Newport Beach. It was great to see the extended clan gathered together! Here are a photo of Rod and Uncle Mike, and a couple of Frances and Grace.
